This insurance is designed to protect you against unforeseen issues such as accidents in transit. We’ll explain the key points, including any limits or exclusions, before you book. For very high-value or unusual items, we may recommend you notify your own insurer as an extra precaution.

What’s included in your removals service?

Our standard removals service includes a suitable vehicle or vehicles, a trained removals team, protective covers and blankets, loading, secure transport and unloading into the rooms you choose. We can add services such as full or partial packing, dismantling and reassembly of furniture, supply of boxes and materials, and additional trips to storage by agreement. Everything included will be set out clearly on your quotation, so there’s no confusion about what we will and won’t be doing on moving day.

What’s the difference between a removals service and a basic man-and-van?

A casual man-and-van usually provides transport and some lifting, often on an hourly basis, but may not offer surveys, formal quotes, insurance or trained staff. A professional removals service like ours is planned around your property and schedule, with proper packing, protection, documentation and cover in place. This structured approach reduces risk, speeds up the move and gives you clear accountability if anything goes wrong, which most informal services cannot match.

How far in advance should I book my removal?

Ideally, book as soon as you have a likely moving date, especially if you’re moving at the end of the month or during busy periods such as summer. One to three weeks’ notice is common for local Kilburn moves, but we can sometimes accommodate shorter notice.
